Elicit is not a comprehensive search tool
One thing to be aware of is that Elicit doesn't contain nearly as many sources for humanities and social sciences topics. It does have a lot of sources for science, technology, and medicine. See Elicit's source for papers.
The sources it uses are vast, but still smaller than Google Scholar and specialized library databases. So you won’t get a comprehensive search by using Elicit alone.
But it may help you surface research you didn’t find using traditional keyword searching of library databases, because it uses semantic search.
