Question and Answer

What are primary sources and how do I find them?

Primary sources are original records created at the time historical events occurred, or well after events in the form of oral histories. Primary sources may include letters, manuscripts, diaries, journals, newspapers, speeches, interviews, memoirs and more. Your instructor may give you more specific requirements, depending on your research assignment.
